Introduction

As part of our work to understand and support collaboratives, our team conducts research at varying levels studying collaborative organizations and products. Our hope that that these publications will provide thorough, real-life examples and analysis for practitioners to learn from and material to inform fellow researchers interested in this field.

Short-form descriptions of an intergovernmental software collaborative’s history, governance, membership, operations, tech, market landscape, successes, and challenges. Written about collaboratives, for collaboratives, this readable overview follows a structured template and is compiled with desk research to provide examples of the many types of collaboratives that make up our network in a comparable format.
